Sweet Mimi

This past July 4th weekend I flew up to San Francisco to hang with my Mom, relax and see the city.

It was funny being back there because when I was a little thing I went to visit San Fran and remember falling in love with the rolling hills and brisk weather. I wanted to be a ballet dancer and live on some windy road in the big city. Being just on hour flight away I can sort of make that dream come true...

My Mom is one of the most beautiful people I know. She's the kind of mother that will rub your belly when your sick making you feel like your the safest you could possibly be and also lay down the law with her southern twang and blue eyes. She's the greatest woman I know and I'm so blessed to have her for a mother and friend.

A couple things today that I love...

From the greatest website for photographers right here. One of these is on the way to my apartment to be framed and placed right over my desk. It's a good mantra to go by especially when its your livelihood.

Emerson Made, a chic website is launching there clothing line for women soon. I can't wait to get something like this for an interview or just a weekend brunch.

If only I was told this before graduation. I kid I kid...sorta.

If only a spoonful of sugar really made everything all better. I've been sick since I arrived in LA about a month age now. It's getting old to say the least and I'm ready to get things really started as far life and my career goes.

It's funny cause whenever one of Ing's friends finds out I've been sick they say how sick they were the first two months they lived in Cali. Maybe Governor Schwarzenegger is pumping gas and chemicals into the food and air...or maybe its just stress.

Nest Pretty Things

I love these delicate colorful accessories from Nest Pretty Things by Tamar. I of course found them on Etsy, the place were all treasures are made and found and than can be bought for a pretty penny. I love how feminine and colorful they are, makes me happy. And as for the note cards, it gives me an idea that I can incorporate into my photography!

Right now my apartment looks like an empty work in progress. So when I was cruising the web yesterday and came across this tiny haven, I was uplifted with hope. Hope that one day I'll be able to come home and have a serene environment to entertain and rest my weary head.

Hollywood yall

Its been far to long! I've moved to LA and I'm getting settled in and cozy in this new city. I'm going to try to post more but between job hunting and learning the city excuse me if I fall off the grid again!

So this is what I've been loving...

Took a nice little drive out to Santa Monica. I snapped these little ditties.

These two are from our roof top. I go up to clear my head and think. There's something calming about watching the craziness that is Los Angeles. People scrambling below. Plus how can you not be soothed by the view and colors?

And finally the Hollywood sign. I had too. A new good friend took me threw the hills up to sign just so I could see it up close and snap a shot to show. Thanks Rachel for being my tour guide!

Of course I'm loving being with Ing again after forever of long distance! These where taken at a restaurant/bar minutes from our house. Every time we go with friends or how ever we make a point to jump in the photo booth and have a mini photo shoot of goofiness! We have a couple on our fridge now. As you can see he's a great partner in crime!
