I recently went back to North Carolina to see family. I already really miss home and even though my visit wasn't for the best reasons I got to see and visit people I miss everyday. I'm going to have to figure out if I'm really a city girl or if a small southern town is where I'm meant to be. Only time will tell.

A couple things I'm really loving this month...

I couldn't be happier that fall is coming/here. I can't wait to carve pumpkins and bake the seeds.

I saw this and thought of one of my best friends Sonya. She's in China teaching for a year and I miss her tons!

Always jones-ing for the beach.

The Equation is a company that supports photographers and brings artist together to form a community. I've loved being able to join them and meet great people!

Oh last but not least...Janet Evanovich. Last week I posted that I got a library card and she is the reason I did. I couldn't afford buying a 25 dollar book and being done with it in 2 days. Now I can read my heart out and save my pennies.

Public reading

I finally found a public library. For some reason library's around here are tucked away and hard to find. But I found one and just in time too! I've been flying through books and its starting to get expensive.

It got me thinking...how many people do you think have library cards compared to blockbuster cards?

Library's have so many resources too. So before you spend twenty bucks on a new book or DVD check out your local public library, you might be pleasantly surprised.

This is a cool photographer based in NY that shoots primarily weddings and portraits. His images are dream like and I've grown a major photography crush on him. Check out his stuff, its all super rad.

CLOUD NOIR

Not long ago Ing and I went to an art opening on 3rd street. The artist was Patrick McCarthy. His stuff was amazing! Every piece screamed Hollywood and old cinema. These are some of my fav's. Check out his website here its totally worth it.

He also makes and sells really cool rustic furnisher.

This last one is one of my favorites because of what it translates to; love conquers all.

This past fourth when I was in San Fran I ran upon the sweetest bakery, Miette. They had everything...red velvet cupcakes, old fashioned pies, gingersnaps, lavender shortbread AND wedding cakes. My mom and I almost didn't make it out. I wanted to eat everything. Whoever did their design was spot on too. The entire store was light and airy and smelled of sweet butter. YUM!
